Event Jobs

Edinburgh is famous for its cultural events and the multitude that run over the course of the year means there are many positions available for students looking for work.

Perhaps the largest event of the year is the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where the town in engulfed by a wide variety of entertainment acts. This means that almost every venue in town is in need of extra staff, as well as the festival itself needing students to work in street teams.

Retail Jobs

Being a capital city, there are of course many retailers and retail jobs available throughout the city. However, just outside the city there are many places to work that can easily be overlooked. The Craigleith Shopping Park has a good selection of retailers offering part time positions including; Sainsburys; Homebase; TK Maxx; Argos; Currys and New Look.

Venue Jobs

Sporting venues are often a good source of part time student jobs, and are something of which Edinburgh has no shortage. Tynecastle, Meadowbank & Murrayfield Stadiums are often on the look out for event and match day staff.

Another busy venue in Edinburgh is the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (ICC), which hosts a number of events of the year and are continuously recruiting for various front of house roles.
